Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, has been located at the corner of Peachtree and Fifth streets since 1902 and has long been a leader in the community. Known as the miracle on Peachtree, the church has a history of accepting and acknowledging all of God’s diverse creation: from hearing impaired persons in the early part of the 20th century, to persons of color during the Civil Rights era, to members of the LGBT community today.
